WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Workforce development is an essential part of today's business operations.
The Orrville area provides many types and forms of workforce development assistance.

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services provides access to an
extensive body of labor market information including employment trends and projections, wage rates, and fringe benefits, as well as Ohio JobNet Online
and a statewide network of One-Stop Employment and Training Centers.
Wooster is Wayne County's Center.

Orrville area employers may also call on any of three local educational institutions for workforce development assistance:  Wayne County Schools Career Center (WCSCC), The Ohio State University's Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI), and The University of Akron's Wayne College.  WCSCS is one of Ohio's 39 full-service centers able to design training programs that match local needs to local resources in order to increase the number of qualified applicants for job openings.

Both ATI and Wayne College are participants in Enterprise Ohio Network, an association of 52 two-year campuses across the State of Ohio that partner with companies and public sector organizations of all kinds everywhere in Ohio to improve quality, productivity, and competitive ability through employee training.  Both ATI and Wayne College offer a wide variety of customized training and professional development courses and workshops for workforce development.
